Default Reasonable Proposal for Elite Mission Alt Access.

OK we all know that Its not too big a deal to get a ferry down to Elites now. and we seen what happens when n00blettes are allowed down there this weekend. Chaos!

so I have mentioned this proposal before, but would like to reiterate it and reword it slightly to make it more practical.

As we saw Vash and Eurayle can take you down to the elite areas from anywhere, with little extra code. Just placing them in a map location and letting players have access to it. We saw this on a large scale with the addition of them in Kaineng Center in the public access areas. This was an interesting Event and experiment. and Proved that it can work well, and it can work Badly.

Here is what I am proposing.

Instead of putting Vash and Eurayle down in the public area, have them placed up with Guardsmen Zingpah in the elite area after exiting the divine path.

This will allow people that finish the game, access to the Elite mission areas when needed. Just as the divine path is accessible for Palace armor and Amulet exchange with every Shiro kill.

This will also allow for people to pull from Guildies or Friends in Kaineng Center to go to the elite mission area when needed. I know from time to time I have tried this from my guild hall and its a mess to get everyone taxied down first. So this allows for a simple solution without having to open it up to everyone instantly, as was done with the elite weekend event.

This Also encourages more people to finish the game as it will result in ability to take a character to the elite mission and park him there if they so choose, but also allows them to leave the elite area and have a quick and easy way back to it later. Just redo the last mission to get into the divine path again.

Alternativly we could just place Vash and Eurayle in the divne path itself among all the other NPCs and get access from there... If we don't want to have parties formed to go from Kaineng center at all that is... Same Idea slightly different twist.

Just an idea... Its an old one I know but I thought I would re-post it now that we have all seen how it could be done...

Ingram...

PS:sorry for the long Hiatus on guru. Been busy with my other Gaming divisions of late... thanks...

Counter argument to the nooblets, is that there were too many anals fussed up about getting PuGs, and then blaming everything on the first person that dies. I liked going to those mission arenas when I was in a totally random group or when I was doing it with a guild, I had alot more fun that way.

This idea will cripple the unique pivelages that the two guilds who control HzH and Cavalon have of allowing access to these elite missions. So I'm against it.

someone tell zingpah not to jump, he won't fly
what's the point of that when most of the time, the guilds that hold the major towns ferry us to there?

Though I agree with both those argument. I'm one of those guys that like to have a way to get there anytime I want too. I'm not against it being elite alliances only. In deed I am normally more against taxi concept all together. But I agree its a nice thing most guilds do for many reasons. not the least of which is getting enough people to go on the mission with...

And your right. If I was really a die hard, I would say outlaw taxis and force more faction farming. But i know that's poorly looked on too. So I was just trying to come up with another feasible solution...

The one thing I personally don't like is getting into a group and no one wants to be a necro or something then I agree to do it and leave to switch my 2ndary and whammo I'm out of the area again and need a new taxi ride... Its inconvenient and annoying. Which is why people don't like to switch what they are on the fly all the time in there.

Another solution would be to simply put the profession changer in the Guild Hall as a service, but Anet does not seem to want to do that even remotly. As its been shot down at every request for it.

So this was the other way I could think of to get back to the area when needed... Without having to join a 10,000 faction a day required alliance.
